Royal Caribbean cancels six Empress sailings

Tuesday, 25 Mar, 2016 0
Royal Caribbean’s Empress of the Seas has canceled six sailings from Miami to allow additional time for planned refurbishment.

The 2,000-passenger ship recently returned to Royal Caribbean’s fleet after sailing with sister line Pullmantur.

It was scheduled to begin sailing in March but this has been put back by several weeks.

The March 30, April 4, April 7, April 11, April 16 and April 21 sailings have therefore been canceled.

Guests booked on these affected sailings can receive a full refund or rebook for free for a different date.

Customers also have the option to switch sailings to Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas.

A $100 on-board credit is being offered for a rebooked cruise.

The ship had been sailing with sister brand Pullmantur since 2008.

As part of the dry dock upgrades, the ship will be installed with the line’s high-speed Voom Internet, and feature the signature steakhouse Chops Grille, among other enhancements.
