A new London tourism campaign led by social media savvy Rufus the Corgi is launching this week to attract visitors from UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the US and Australia.

The London Mayor’s promotional organisation, London & Partners, has launched the £1.3 million  ‘London, Now See It for Yourself’ campaign.

Rufus will help visitors explore a specially designed digital map on visitlondon.com showing the key attractions in the city.

He will also be tweeting his travels with daily clues and competitions about where to ‘sniff him out’.

The Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: "This tourism campaign highlights the fantastic things that our city has to offer, helping to capitalise on the huge momentum from this summer and deliver my goal of ensuring a lasting economic legacy for Londoners."
