Rail Plus says that a France Rail Pass can be used for travelling to the cities hosting the Rugby World Cup, with Marseille, Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Tours, Lyon and Nantes all hosting matches and are on the Paris-linked rail networks covered by the France Rail Pass, available for one to 10 days travel within one month.

For example, an 8 days pass is $629 adult 1st class, $536 adult 2nd class, $538 adult Saver 1st class, $455 adult Saver 2nd class, $459 Youth 1st class, $399 Youth 2nd class and $568 Senior 1st class.

“Given the Rugby World Cup runs September 9 to October 20, two passes may be required,” says Rail Plus’ Greg McCallum.

France Rail Pass is cheaper than multi point-to-point trips purchased in France and cannot be purchased in France.
