RwandAir set to launch daily direct London flights
RwandAir is set to ramp up London flights this winter to a daily service to Heathrow.
The African airline has been operating flights to London since 2017, first via Brussels and then nonstop from May 2023.
It originally flew to London Gatwick before shifting to Heathrow.
It will increase capacity on its London Heathrow route from 29 October 2023.
The new London flights are now on sale.
It currently flies four times a week.
Flights are operated on RwandAir’s Airbus A330, with up to 30 fully lie-flat Business Class seats and up to 244 seats in Economy Class.
Yvonne Makolo, RwandAir CEO, said: “London is an incredibly important market for RwandAir, so we are excited to be adding direct daily London flights.”
“Having first launched flights in 2017, we have continued to build our presence following strong demand.”
The airlines’ schedule also allows for easy connections transiting Kigali to destinations in Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
RwandAir recently launched flights from Kigali to Paris CDG, its third European destination.
