Ryanair appoints new sales and marketing head
Ryanair has promoted Chiara Ravara to the newly-created role of head of sales and marketing.
Ravara, who joined the airline in 2014 from Aviareps in Italy, was previously senior sales and marketing manager.
At the same time, the airline revealed that its punctuality slipped significantly last month when just 82% of its flights were on time compared with 91% in April 2017.
The airline blamed four days of strikes by French air traffic controllers and a Eurocontrol ATC failure in April for the slippage.
It also saw an increase in the number of passenger complaints, which rose from 1.45 per thousand customers to 2.73 per thousand.
