Ryanair boosts Barcelona routes

Monday, 29 Sep, 2006 0

Ryanair is expanding its hub at Barcelona Girona airport by adding 17 routes for next summer.

The no-frills carrier will deploy four new Boeing 737-800s at the airport and expects to generate one million extra passengers a year.

The expansion – the biggest in the airline’s history – will bring its network from the airport up to 40 routes.

Bristol, Newcastle and Teesside will all gain flights from Girona next March as part of the new route development.
