Ryanair increases capacity amid rising demand
Ryanair will operate 60% of its normal flight schedules following rising demand.
The airline said passenger numbers have continued to grow since flights resumed at the end of June.
It will operate 1600 routes with more than 11,000 weekly flights.
"Since the resumption of our schedule in late June, passenger numbers have continued to grow and as a result, we’re delighted to announce that our flight schedule is set to increase to more than 60% in August," Chief Executive Eddie Wilson said.
"We were pleased to see our people and customers adopt to our healthy flying measures, and encourage all those travelling with us in August to continue to do so."
The announcement follows that of easyJet which last week said it would increase capacity to 40% of its usual volume after reporting better than expected demand.
