Ryanair reports jump in passengers despite cancellations
Ryanair grew passenger numbers by 8% to 11.8 million in October despite being forced to make cancellations due to a mess-up with pilot rostering.
Load factor rose 1% point to 96% for the month.
Rolling annual traffic to October grew 12% to 128.2 million customers.
Earlier this week the airline said it was on course to make a pre-tax profit of €1.40 billion to €1.45 billion this year despite having been forced to cancel 20,000 flights.
Around 700,000 passengers’ flights were cancelled or rescheduled, costing the airline an estimated €25 million.
