Ryanair’s calendar girls get the thumbs up
Ryanair has claimed victory after 99% of passengers voted in favour of its charity calendar girls.
The Provincial Association of Housewives and Consumers of Valencia (TYRIUS) made a former complaint claiming the scantily clad cabin crew were being exploited, see previous story.
But the airline argues its passengers have voted in favour.
Only 10% thought the calendar should include men even if it raises less money for charity and only 6% felt the 2013 calendar should feature men-only.
Ryanair’s head of communications Stephen McNamara said: “With such overwhelming support for our calendars and crew, Ryanair will continue to defend the right of people to strip down for charity, if they want to.”
