Ryder Cup star to promote golf operator
Former Open champion Darren Clarke has joined Your Golf Travel to become the global brand ambassador for Europe’s largest golf tour operator.
Clarke, one of the frontrunners to succeed Jose Maria Olazabal as Europe’s Ryder Cup captain in 2014, will be at the forefront of Your Golf Travel’s promotional activities over the coming months.
Under the terms of the new partnership, Your Golf Travel will also become a global partner to International Sports Management, Clarke’s sports management company, who will assist in the marketing of events and promotion of the business in 2013.
Your Golf Travel co-founder Ross Marshall said, “Darren Clarke has always been a great hero of ours. His emotional victory at last year’s Open Championship and Ryder Cup heroics at the K Club will be remembered by golfers for many years to come.”
The agreement is the third new alliance that Your Golf Travel has formed in as many months following earlier deals with Troon Golf and talkSPORT.
Launched in 2005, Your Golf Travel offers golf holidays and breaks to more than 3,000 venues and courses across 22 countries worldwide through its website and brochure.
