Sabre seals Vatican travel company deal
Sabre will be reaching out to Catholics globally following the inking of a deal with Vatican-based travel company ORP.
The company, which arranges pilgrimages and holy tours around Europe, has just launched online portal Journeys of the Spirit at www.josp.com in a bid to boost its online presence.
The portal will white label air content from Sabre’s Travelocity.com and will use a variety of the GDS’ tools to help with the shopping and booking of travel through josp.com.
CEO of Opera Romana Pellegrinaggi Father Ceasar Atuire said: “Our goal is to provide pilgrims all over the world with full access to our product portfolio in a simplified and streamlined way.
“We chose Sabre as our partner because they are the only company to offer a truly unique blend of technology solutions, distribution power and expertise to enable us to achieve our goals.”
Senior vice president for Sabre Travel Network EMEA Martin Cowley said: “The launch of josp.com is an exciting opportunity, and we’re delighted to be facilitating the gift of travel to some of the most sacred and religious destinations on earth.”
ORP’s packages are now available online via www.josp.com.
