Saga to sail into river cruise market
Saga holidays is to launch river cruises on a new-build boutique ship in Spring 2021.
Called Spirit of the Rhine, the ship will sail on European rivers including the Rhine, Moselle, Main and Danube and through the Dutch waterways.
Saga ventures into the river cruise market after launching a luxury boutique ocean cruise ship, Spirit of Discovery, in July 2019, with a sister ocean cruise ship launching in summer 2020.
Saga said the new river ship’s design will be inspired by these ocean cruises.

Almost all of its 17 square metre cabins will have a French balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Consumer can register their interest from today (November 4) and bookings will be taken following the publication of the first itineraries on December 2.
