Samoa adds XXL seats
The first airline in the world to charge people according to how much they weigh now has introduced extra-large seats for its heaviest passengers.
Samoa Air is fitting its entire fleet of propeller aircraft with a special XL row with more space between seats and an extra 14 inches of room for each passenger, said the Daily Mail.
The seats will cater to those who weigh in excess of 20 stone, about 280 pounds.
On the Pacific island of Samoa, more than 80% of the population over the age of 15 is regarded as overweight.
Samoa Air also has added a special ramp to its planes to make it easier for heavy passengers to board.
