San Fran is all shook up
The city of San Francisco next month is celebrating an unusual occasion: Its 1906 earthquake.
Outdoor concerts and restaurant specials will be part of the 100th anniversary of the 290-mile rupture along the San Andreas Fault.
More than 200 Bay Area organizations have posted months of activities to start in April to “commemorate, celebrate and educate.”
Special hotel, restaurant and sightseeing promotions are posted on the CVB’s Web site.
Hotels are offering special packages and local chefs are recreating 1906 menus.
And sightseeing tours are adding earthquake stops.
