Leading luxury brand Sandals has made a move into lifestyle products by announcing a new range of footwear.
The strategy is being seen as significant and an attempt to maximise the brand value of the Caribbean hotel group.
UK sales and marketing director Phil Dickinson was delighted with the move.
“We have been working on this project for a long time and feel it has now come together nicely,” he told TravelMole.
“Our forecasts are that the design, quality and cost will be a winner with many of our guests and we have several pairs that are aimed specifically at the UK visitor.”
The first model will be a light open shoe that is held on by straps across the instep or around the heel or ankle and would normally be worn during warm weather.
“An ideal addition to your wardrobe for those warm Caribbean evenings,” added Dickinson.
“We have yet to name the range and have flipped and flopped around but felt we needed something with a bit of soul.”
Prices start at £2.99 per pair and can be purchased in resort.
