SAS offers agents 10% commission

In an effort to boost both business and leisure travel, Scandanavian airlines (SAS) has announced that during March and April, IATA agents can earn an extra 3% bonus on SAS flown revenue for their branch, over and above last year’s figures for the same period. This is on top of the normal 7% commission rate.

Robin Kamark, SAS General Manager UK/Ireland, said: “Working in partnership with agents, our clear message is help us to help you. We are confident that this campaign will consolidate the positive traffic figures that we are now seeing, as well as increasing our market share on UK to Scandinavia routes. Forward bookings are up on this time last year and we want to encourage this trend.”

Agents achieving incremental sales will be entered into a prize draw and five agencies will win two places each on an educational trip to the world-famous Ice Hotel in Sweden. The three top performing agents will receive two places on educational trips to Beijing, St Petersberg and Tromso (Norway), staying at a Radisson SAS Hotel with a “World of Experience” package included.

SAS will be mailing IATA agents this week outlining the scheme and inviting them to register.
