SAS to launch two-tier service
SAS is introducing a two-tier fare structure from June this year, claiming the move is in response to customer demands.
Passengers who opt for SAS Go can check in a bag at no extra charge, get coffee or tea onboard, and use mobile check-in and other services.
SAS Plus passengers can check in two bags at no extra charge, use SAS Fast Track, get lounge access, meals and drinks onboard as well as twice the number of EuroBonus points, plus all the benefits enjoyed by SAS Go passengers.
"When we were developing this new concept, we based on our work on our customer needs rather than on industry standards," says Rickard Gustafson, CEO and group president.
There will also be a completely new onboard service concept, where the traditional airplane food will be replaced with a Caf-© and a new range that will be offered to all customers onboard.
