Savoy gets green hotel award
Top hotel adds to green awards
The Savoy was handed the Green Hotel of the Year award at the Hotel Cateys on Friday. It was the culmination of a fantastic year for the Savoy who in addition to winning the Considerate Green Team Award at the CH Awards in June, received the international Virtuoso award for sustainability and was also named European Green Hotel of the Year earlier in November.
Debra Patterson who heads up the happy green band at the hotel was understandably "over the moon" as were her colleagues who had accompanied her.
Once again it proves that luxury can co-exist with sustainability!
The Savoy is a member of the Considerate Hoteliers. Other Considerate Hoteliers members who won awards at the event included:
- Front House Manager of the Year – Clarisse Abbey-Blackmore of the Crowne Plaza London Docklands
- Front of House Team of the Year – Radisson Blu Edinburgh
- Food and Beverage Manager of the Year – Peter Bradley of The Montague on the Gardens London
- Housekeeper of the Year – David Smith of the Park Plaza Riverbank and Plaza on the River London.
- Hotel Restaurant Team of the Year – The Montague on the Gardens London.
- Revenue Award – Chesterfield Mayfair, London
- Human Resources Manager of the Year – Julia Murrell of Le Manoir aux Quat Saisons in Oxfordshire.
