Scenic appoints Benny Weidacher to VP role
Scenic Group has appointed industry veteran Benny Weidacher as Vice President of Global Cruise Operations.
He will oversee all operational aspects of the company’s hotel services, culinary programmes, expedition teams and technical departments for Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, Scenic Eclipse and Emerald Cruises.
Chief Operating Officer Rob Voss said Benny has ‘a tremendous track record and reputation of success in the cruise industry’.
He was most recently Vice President, Ship Operations Marine and Hotel for Madrid-based Pullmantur Cruise Lines. Previously he was Project Manager, New Build and Fleet Design for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. He has also held a variety of leadership positions including Hotel Director for both Royal Caribbean Cruise lines and Celebrity Cruises.
