Scottish agent joins AITO
Glasgow-based independent agent, Kenneth Macleod Travel, has joined AITO Specialist Travel Agents as its sole Scottish member.
AITO said it hopes to sign up more Scottish agents in the future.
Chairman Oliver Broad said: "In previous years, Scotland has worked quite independently from other parts of the UK in our industry, but there is an obvious need to move away from regular high street products and AITO fits the bill for those agents seeking a unique edge to their competition.
"It is a good few years since we had just one member from Scotland and maybe the time wasn’t quite right then, but we are certainly seeing more interest now and welcome our latest member with open arms."
He said Kenneth Macleod Travel, established for over 35 years, has a similar ethos to AITO and already works with many AITO tour operators.
Elaine Tait, managing director of Kenneth Macleod Travel, said it had always understood the importance of building relationships with like-minded tour operators.
