Seabourn reveals names of new ships
Luxury cruise line Seabourn has unveiled the names of its two newest ships.
Seabourn Encore will be the first to launch in late 2016, followed by Seabourn Ovation in 2018.
Both ships are based on its Odyssey-class configuration, which include ships Seabourn Odyssey, Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Quest.
Both new ships will feature an additional deck, more expansive public areas and a number of new design elements introduced by celebrated hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany.
Tihany will lead the design of all indoor and outdoor guest areas including dining venues, the Spa, casino and lounges.
"I have designed a ship that is imbued with a sense of spontaneity and exhilaration, to elicit surprise and delight that will complement the rest of the guests’ travel experiences," Tihany said.
The line has created a webpage detailing the new ships’ features and updates will be posted as the ships take shape.
"Seabourn Encore and Seabourn Ovation will applaud the current fleet in both vessel design and guest experience," said Seabourn President Richard Meadows.
Each vessel will have a 604-passenger capacity based on double occupancy and all suies will feature a private verandah.
