Seabourn reveals new expedition ship design
Luxury line Seabourn has revealed design details of its second purpose-built expedition ship, Seabourn Pursuit.
Pursuit is scheduled to launch in August 2023.
The ship’s inaugural year features explorations of Antarctica, from late November 2023 to late March 2024.
“Seabourn Pursuit is our newest crown jewel, where guests will experience the perfect blend of ultra-luxury design combined with elevated experiences,” said Seabourn President, Natalya Leahy.
“This is truly a celebration of the creative energy of our design collaborator, Tihany Design.”
The ship’s Discovery Center houses an immersive large screen for lectures and video experiences, and is inspired by the landscape of Antarctica.
The Expedition Lounge features custom furniture designed in warm natural materials while Seabourn Square offers a variety of outdoor settings for guests to relax.
Guest can take in views with the aid of fixed Swarovski telescopes.
The Bow Lounge on Deck 6 provides the closest access to the water via the foredeck, making it a prime destination to watch for marine life.
It has expansive windows and interactive monitors displaying updated information about the day at sea, and touchscreens offer a live map, weather information and more.
The Constellation Lounge offers a 270-degree views on the top deck, decorated in a dark blue and red palette.
It has a central bar and comfy seating to enjoy live music.
The ship features an extensive contemporary designed spa and wellness center and dining venues The Restaurant and Colonnade.
