Search for survivors of Bali boat tragedy
The search is continuing for survivors after a boat capsized off Indonesia’s resort island of Bali yesterday.
Ten people died and 14 are missing, according to police sources.
The boat, travelling from Nusa Lembongan Island, was carrying musicians of a traditional gamelan percussion orchestra to perform in a burial ceremony on Nusa Penida island, 30 minutes away by boat, when it sank in bad weather.
Up to 335 people died when a heavily overloaded ferry sank off Indonesia’s Sulawesi island in January last year.
