Self-service check in beyond the airport
Kinetics introduced its CheckinHere, a new kiosk that provides multi-airline check-in, prints boarding passes and provides baggage services for passengers at off-airport locations such as hotels, cruise line ports and car rental offices.
Said Theresa Heinz, Kinetics vice president:
“CheckinHere offers businesses the opportunity to consolidate several self-service applications into a single platform without requiring a complicated IT infrastructure. From airline check-in to car rental, travelers will soon be able to handle everything from one self-service location.”
The self-service solution uses a centralized service that unifies all of Kenetics’ airline partners onto one screen for a consistent look at every location for every carrier.
Passengers using the service select an airline and find their reservation by swiping a credit card. After confirming their reservation number, users are then able to review their travel itinerary and print a boarding pass and receipt.
CheckinHere is already in use in the Atlanta area.
