Severe weather warnings for Caribbean
Severe weather warnings have been issued for Barbados, Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines as Tropical Storm Chantal approaches.
The tropical storm, which has wind speeds of about 40 mph but is expected to strengthen in the next couple of days, was expected to hit by early Tuesday.
Chantal is then expected to continue to portions of the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Cuba.
The current forecast puts the center of Chantal over the Bahamas on Friday into early Saturday, but given the margin of error in the forecast, parts of Florida could be affected as well at the end of the week, reports the Weather Channel.
