Seward, Alabama: unlikely top tourist hot spot?
There’s more travel planned ahead for next year then there was in 2009, says TripAdvisor, who came up with up-and-coming travel hot spots based on Web searches.
A list of the top five US Travel destinations.
• Seward, Ala.
• Hyannis, Mass.
• Hot Springs, Ark.
• Chinle, Ariz.
• Waimea, Hawaii
Has anyone ever heard of Seward?
There, travelers can take in Kenai Fjords National Park, mountain vistas and tidewater glaciers, says TripAdvisor.
Chinle, Arizona makes the cut at No. 4. Located near the Canyon de Chally, visitors can see cave art, cliff dwellings and rock formations.
Beaches and historical spots dominate the list of the emerging international hotspots.
• Troncones, Mexico
• Nairn, Scotland
• El Chalten, Patagonia
• Patara, Turkey
• Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany
The top up-and-coming world travel spot is Troncones, Mexico. Located on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, the small town sits at the base of two small mountain ranges. There, visitors will find miles of white sand beaches.
Another destination, Patara, Turkey, also boasts beaches. Patara could draw history buffs, too. Roman and Lycian ruins line the sand dunes.
