Shanghai Disney Resort expanding with Zootopia-themed land
Shanghai Disney Resort is expanding again with the first ever dedicated Zootopia-themed land.
Work on the new attraction will begin later this year bur Walt Disney Co didn’t put a timeline on the completion date.
The latest upgrade comes less than a year after the park’s first expansion with Toy Story Land.
The park officially opened to the public in 2016.
"The rapid rate of expansion at Shanghai Disney Resort demonstrates our confidence and commitment to the company’s future development in China,"said Bob Chapek, Disney’s chairman of parks, experiences and consumer products.
The park welcomes about 11 million visitors per year.
