Shangri-La, Taj Hotels loyalty alliance recognised at Flightglobal Awards
The combined loyalty programme of Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts and Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris was recently honoured as best in class, less than a year after launching.
The ‘Warmer Welcomes’ alliance has been recognised as ‘Best Loyalty Partnership’ at Flightglobal’s 10th Loyalty Awards event.
It was judged by a panel of leading loyalty management specialists.
Made up of Shangri-La’s Golden Circle and Taj’s InnerCircle programme, it covers a combined portfolio of more than 200 hotels managed by the hotel groups throughout Asia and beyond.
"It’s an incredible honour to have ‘Warmer Welcomes’ recognised by Flightglobal. By merging global strategies, Shangri-La and Taj are able to offer over six million loyalty members new experiences and the benefits most important to them," said Shangri-La’s VP of loyalty & partner marketing, Wee Kee Ng.
Flightglobal, founded in France in 1996, evaluates more than 200 frequent flyer programmes in the travel industry.
"We sincerely appreciate the recognition and encouragement that this award has given to our team. Warmer Welcomes has helped drive deeper engagement with our valuable guests by providing them with seamless benefits and opportunities to earn and redeem," said Ryan Pais, associate vice president of customer relationship management at Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris.
