The Shine Awards’ submission deadline has been extended until the end of the week.

Organiser Alessandra Alonso said: “Over the last week we have received several requests for extension.

“People coming back to work today after an extended bank holiday will now be able to use the remainder of the week to submit.

“We are always keen to receive as many nominations as possible and are happy to enable more entries in this way.”

Meanwhile, the panel of judges for the awards, which recognise top women in travel, has been confirmed.

New judges this year include former Shine Awards’ winner Avril Oughton MBE owner of Cloud Hotel in Brockenhurst; Chris Lee, relationship director for travel at Barclays and Leigh Jagger, CEO at event management and corporate travel company Banks Sadler.

Judging will take place on January 12 and winners will be announced at a central London ceremony on January 21.
