Shocked tourists witness crocodile attack
Several tourists were treated for shock after witnessing a female animal sanctuary worker being mauled by a crocodile in Australia.
The worker, Renee Robertson, was overseeing a feeding show at Billabong Sanctuary in Townsville, when she was cornered by a 2.5-metre croc.
The reptile lunged at her and managed to maul her arm before it was beaten off by a colleague with a stick.
Ms Robertson was taken to hospital, where she had surgery to her arm.
Eight people were treated for shock after the incident, said reports.
The owner of the sanctuary said Ms Robertson was expected to make a full recovery but the incident is likely to be investigated by health and safety officials.
