Siblu acts to attract single parents
A range of “make-travel-easy” extras for single parents travelling with children have been introduced by holiday park specialist Siblu.
A £100 single savers discount is among the options available, bringing the cost of a seven-night holiday in July on the Charente Maritime coast down to £835 for an adult and two children.
The initiative, which includes pre-bookable travel essentials and action packs, comes as single fathers website OnlyDads.org founder Bob Greig identified coping with mountains of luggage, taking time out to relax, and safety as key issues facing lone parents holidaying with youngsters.
He said: “Single parents can face some really simple challenges when away, often linked to not having an extra pair of hands or eyes.
“Carrying equipment can be harder and there’s less chance of being able to hand responsibility to someone else so you can switch off and relax.”
Siblu action packs are available from £2 a night include children’s tennis rackets, bats and balls, boules, Frisbees and badminton equipment.
Travel essentials including linen, towels and baby cots can be pre-booked from 50p a night, to keep suitcases as light as possible.
Children can join free kid’s clubs, such as PAWS for toddlers and T-Co for teens. Professional football coaching can be booked for £30 for a five-day course.
