Silverjet announces trade distribution deals
Silverjet has secured distribution agreements with travel companies, including Gold Medal Travel/Airline Network, Trailfinders, Kuoni, Travel Counsellors, TUI Specialist Holidays and Voyana.
The all business class airline, due to launch London Luton to Newark flights on January 25, has also signed deals with all four of the global distribution companies.
Releasing its first financial reporting statement, chief executive officer Lawrence Hunt said: “We gave an undertaking to our investors that we would launch operations within nine months of our IPO and we are on track to beat that target. We have had fantastic feedback from the travel industry and we look forward to welcoming all our customers on board.
“Our website and reservation system went live in October and I am pleased to report that to date bookings have exceeded our expectations and we are enjoying excellent support from our selected distribution partners.”
With fares starting at £799, the airline will have a private jet terminal, a 30-minute check-in and will fly Boeing 767s with 100 luxury beds on board.
