Silverjet replaces finance director
Silverjet has recruited a new finance director after original post-holder John Bavister resigned.
Martin Lynch, who has previously held senior finance positions with XL Leisure Group, British Airways Honda Europe and US airline Xtra Airways, is to succeed Bavister.
CEO Lawrence Hunt said the all business class carrier’s board was “highly grateful” to Bavister for his “substantial efforts” since joining the airline during its start-up phase in 2005.
Hunt added that Lynch was bringing “extensive experience” in the airline experience to role including 30 years at BA.
The change in senior personnel came as the airline started it second daily Luton-Newark frequency, carrying 61 passengers.
