Silverjet to provide online agent training
An online training programme for travel agents has been introduced by all-business class airline Silverjet.
The Silverjet Academy features four modules with multiple choice questions covering the background of the airline, the service on the ground and in the air, fares and facilities at Luton and Newark airports. Questions on the airline’s newest route to Dubai will be added in phase two of the training.
Agents who complete the programme with a 100% pass rate by the end of the year will be entered into a prize draw for a pair of Silverjet tickets to New York or Dubai.
Once registered at www.silverjetacademy.com, users can work through the modules, with the option to save information and return again at a later date.
Those scoring a 100% pass rate will be rewarded with a certificate and be eligible to apply for places on familiarisation trips plus be entered into the draw for two Silverjet tickets.
The Academy also features an online forum, where users can discuss any issues, problems or queries with the airline’s sales team and other users.
Sales and marketing director Katherine Gershon said: “We recognise that as a relatively new airline it is very important for us to educate and support the travel trade as they talk to their customers about our service.
“The Silverjet Academy has been developed with assistance from members of the travel trade as well as our expert sales team.
“We have designed the online training programme to enable travel agents to develop a thorough understanding of the Silverjet experience and discover exactly how we deliver our private jet style experience.”
