Silversea makes use of social media technology
Silversea Cruises has officially launched a blog for its new ship, Silver Spirit, and has unveiled a new-look website.
The Blog will show the latest news and photographs detailing the ship’s progress and counting down the days until it sets sail on December 23.
In addition, the company recently ‘soft’ launched a Facebook fan page and a Twitter microblog, both of which can now be accessed from the website’s Blog page.
“Social media technologies offer an excellent opportunity for us to engage more closely with our guests and travel agent partners,†said Trudy Redfern, managing director UK, Ireland and Middle East.
“The Silver Spirit Blog is a natural next step for us and we hope it will offer our guests a broader perspective on what they have to look forward to.”
The cruise line’s website also has new content pages, a more visually engaging home page with a flash header.
