Simpson Travel buys two villa specialists
Luxury independent operator Simpson Travel has acquired two specialist villa companies – French experts Dominique’s Villas and Italian operator Cottages to Castles.
Dominique’s Villas features 120 properties across France while Cottages to Castles has 220 in Italy.
The two brands will continue to operate independently but 45 of the French properties will join a Simpson Travel dedicated French programme for 2016.
It is the first time Simpson has featured France and Italy, although it already features a handful of Italian properties in its Simpson Exclusive portfolio.
London-based Dominique’s Villas was set up by Dominique Wells who will remain on board to ensure continuity.
Jonathan and Daniela Magoni, from Cottages to Castles, will also remain on board.
Earlier this year, Simpson Travel acquired the assets of Exclusive Escapes, which included properties in Turkey as well as the company’s website.
The Turkish properties are now featured within Simpson’s Turkey 2016 portfolio.
Simpson Travel MD Graham Simpson said: "Since our launch in 2003, Simpson Travel has continued to grow and we have a high volume of repeat clients who we know will welcome these new destinations.
"We are always open to working with new partners who share the same passion and knowledge of their product as we do."
