Singapore Air warns customers of phishing scam
Singapore Airlines has issued a warning to customers of a scam doing the rounds from people purportedly working for the airline.
Some customers have been contacted by phone and email with news they have won a free flight.
They are then asked for personal imformation.
SIA warns it is all a scam to trick people into giving out sensitive information which may include their Krisflyer frequent flier login details.
In a Facebook post, the airline warned customers to excercise caution and said scammers may used caller ID numbers which look similar to the airline’s and website landing pages that appear to be similar to the official SIA website.
"These websites, emails and calls should be verified if in doubt," the airline said.
It is asking any suspicious customers to report scams to its customer feedback page on the real Singapore Air website.
