Singapore Airlines names new Europe chief
Singapore Airlines has named Subhas Menon as regional vice president Europe.
Based in the airline’s London office in Chiswick, he takes over from Paul Tan who, having held the role since 2008, has been posted back to Singapore as divisional vice president customer services.
Menon, who has been with Singapore Airlines since 1984, previously headed up the airline’s wholly owned subsidiary airline SilkAir and most recently worked as regional VP South West Pacific, stationed in Sydney.
"It is in an interesting time to arrive in the UK as we prepare to move our London operations into Heathrow’s new Terminal 2 later this year, cautiously welcome the recently announced changes to APD and as the debates around aviation capacity continue," he said.
"This alone makes for an exciting challenge and one I am very much looking forward to as a result."
