Singapore extends quarantine for high risk travellers
Singapore is imposing stricter border controls which means longer quarantine periods for many arriving travellers.
Taking effect from 8 May, visitors with recent travel in higher risk countries will have to quarantine for 21 days, up from two weeks.
It is also limiting social gatherings to five people, while businesses such as gyms will have to close.
Singapore has recorded cases of the contagious India variant as it deals with an outbreak at a hospital. Officials said a partial lockdown is also a possibility if the situation worsens.
