Singapore lifts the language barrier
Singapore Airlines has doubled the number of languages courses available on its long haul flights.
The carrier introduced 11 languages back in the summer with passengers now able to brush up on Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesia, Turkish, Tamil, Arabic, Hindi, Malay, Tagalog and Dutch.
The courses, developed by Berlitz, will be available on Singapore’s in-flight entertainment system KrisWorld and feature four main sections – numbers, dates, words and dialogue.
The original 11 languages available on the system were English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Russian, Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.
