Singapore, Malaysia angered over smoke haze
Tourists visiting the towering Skypark at Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore this week would have been disappointed with the view.
A smoke haze continues to blanket Singapore, taking air quality to unhealthy levels.
The Singapore government has voiced its disapproval with the Indonesian government, which is blaming forest fires in Sumatra.
The smoke haze – caused by farmers burning off forest to create more land for crops – has also affected parts of Malaysia.
Malaysia has also made an official complaint to Indonesia.
Satellite images indicate that the haze will continue for a day or two.
