Sir Chris Hoy to speak at Travel Counsellors conference
Sir Chris Hoy has been confirmed as keynote speaker at this year’s Travel Counsellors conference in Scotland.
The event, which for the past four years has been held in Manchester, will be hosted at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow on November 9-11.
Over 1,600 delegates are expected to attend the event, including business owners, their partners, and suppliers.
Sir Chris Hoy will speak on Sunday morning, sharing stories about his career and advising delegates how to achieve their ambitions and maximise their performance.
He has won a total of six gold medals for Great Britain across three separate Olympic Games, more than any other British athlete, and a further 11 gold medals at the World Championships.
Steve Byrne, CEO at Travel Counsellors, said: "We are thrilled to welcome Sir Chris to this year’s event, which promises to be our biggest and best yet. His successful track record and consistent focus are truly reflective of the mindset we want to inspire in our people, with our focus for each individual to strive for a future without limits.
"We will be hearing these stories of success from our own people throughout the weekend, and felt Sir Chris would really reinforce this message as someone who exemplifies unparalleled levels of performance and consistency over a long period of time. We are really looking forward to all we have to share over the weekend, and know Sir Chris will be the perfect finale speaker for the event."
Travel Counsellors completed a secondary buyout backed by Vitruvian Partners in June and has announced record revenues of £217 million, its 12th consecutive year of double digit growth.
