SKAL Asia membership soars
BANGKOK – Skal’s latest report on membership development for the Asian area will be presented to president Hulya Aslantas and the Asian area board today in Incheon, Korea, at the 38th Skal Asian Area Congress.
Asia is the only region that is currently showing such strong growth.
With membership standing at 2,514, Asia is now 13 percent of Skal’s worldwide membership of 19,478, which includes 318 Young Skal members.
Skal Asia grew 14 percent this year.
There are plans for four new Skal clubs in Asia.
Jakarta – Club No.13 was the first Skal Club to open in Asia 75 years ago in December. It is being relaunched with the help of a former members and Skal International Bali .
Narita, Rodrigues and Puerto Princess are the other new Skal clubs to come on line this year.
