Ski operator collapse confirmed
The Civil Aviation Authority is today trying to find out the number of bookings held by Take Me Too (Ski) and Take Me Too (the River) following the collapse of parent company Merebeech Ltd.
The authority confirmed Gloucester-based Merebeech, which also owned coach and river cruise operator Phoenix Holidays, had ceased trading.
Phoenix Holidays called in administrators PR Booth last week, blaming a sharp drop in bookings in the last quarter of last year for its sudden demise.
At the time, sister company Take Me Too announced that it was not operating any further holidays and that it was cancelling all future bookings.
The CAA said today that all Take Me Too passengers currently overseas had scheduled tickets which remain valid and will be able to return to the UK
"We are currently gathering information relating to forward bookings held and will post a claim form and information for passengers with air inclusive packages to use to claim a refund of monies paid as soon as possible," it said in a statement.
Passengers with air inclusive bookings are advised to check back with the CAA regularly. Those who booked air-based packages with Take Me Too should be able to claim refunds under the company’s ATOL. Phoenix Holidays operated a trust fund and administrator Neil Marshall said last week he did not expect any customers to be left out of pocket.
