Skyscanner eyes international growth
Travel comparison site Skyscanner has hired a new team of market managers in a bid to further push its international sales.
The company, which has just been voted third fastest growing technology in Scotland by the Deloitte Fast 50 index, has taken on managers for the US, Canada, Ireland, Russia and Scandinavia to complement existing managers for UK, Spain and Germany.
The company is also relocating from Leith in the northern part of Edinburgh to larger premises in the city centre.
Skyscanner has websites for 24 different countries with a choice of 20 languages and 65% of traffic comes from outside the UK.
Its CEO Gareth Williams said: “Skyscanner is growing in all areas: user traffic, revenue and staff. Now we need more space to allow us to continue our growth as we move into new key markets and build on the Skyscanner brand as the first stop for independent travellers around the world.”
