Sleepy yet?
A good night’s sleep must be on the minds of hoteliers these days.
The Crowne Plaza has started offering eye masks and drape clicks to block out unwanted light. At about the same time, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. launched a $12 million campaign featuring its Sweet Sleeper bed.
That’s eye mask is part of the Crowne Plaza chain’s new “Sleep Advantage” program being set up in all of its hotels in the Americas.
The company worked with sleep disorder expert Dr. Micheal Breus to put together a better sleeping package.
The program offers guests guaranteed wake-up calls or a free room, quiet zones on specific floors on Sundays through Thursdays, and new bedding.
Additional amenities include ear plugs and lavender spray, a nightlife to provide soft lighting in the day time and a CD that suggests tips on better sleeping.
The sleep program should be in all of the Crowne Plazas by the end of June.
Sheraton’s own television sports will feature the classic “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.”
