Small business travelers not taking advantage of online sites
There are more small business travelers than ever on the internet, but many are not fully aware of all they can do on travel sites, says the American Small Business Travelers Alliance (ASBTA).
Small businessmen realize that booking directly on a travel provider’s web site can save time and money, says Chuck Sharp, ASBTA president.
“In reality, the best travel web sites also offer a number of other convenience features and services, and provide an excellent customer service experience at the traveler’s immediate beck and call,” he said.
Many of the best travel web sites provide services way beyond booking, he said.
Hyatt.com, for example, offers customers the guaranteed lowest rate available online plus full control over reservation changes and cancellations, said Mr Sharp.
“Not all travel web sites have added these convenient features and services, but the ones that have raised the bar significantly on the level of customer service offered in the online travel market,” he added.
