Snaptrip buys Late Lettings
Snaptrip has confirmed it has bought Late Lettings for an undisclosed sum.
Now in its fifth year of trading, Snaptrip also owns Last Minute Cottages and Big Cottages, which it purchased in 2017, and Dog Friendly Cottages.
Its latest addition, Late Lettings, offers 4,500 properties around the world and has been operating since 2013.
It allows owners of self-catering properties to load their properties for free and charges a 15% commission for any bookings via the website.
Late Lettings owner Emily Franklin said: "The interest from Snaptrip presented itself at the right time for us. We are beginning to push our portfolio of holiday rental businesses in new directions and we’re satisfied knowing that the Late Lettings history and our registered advertisers will be looked after and prosper.
"We created Late Lettings in the hope that it would become a leading player in the ‘last minute/deal led’ space within the holiday rental sector and it gives us a lot of comfort to know it is going to now sit within a brand that has the same ambitions we did when we launched the website."
Matt Fox, CEO and co-founder of Snaptrip, said: "The future positioning of Late Lettings is currently being decided, however at this stage we can confirm that the current property owners and registered holidaymakers do have a future within the Snaptrip group
"It’s really important to the company that any decisions will have a positive impact on the existing database of 4,500 properties. We’re currently focusing on the technology that Late Lettings use and our team is looking at the options available to help grow the business. Emily Franklin has a portfolio of holiday rental businesses that her and the team will be focusing on these moving forward.
"Snaptrip has seen lots of growth success by acquisition and will look to do more in the future if the right opportunities continue to present themselves."
"We’ve been acutely aware of Late Lettings for some time and have been very impressed with their brand and progress in the sector. We have had great success integrating Last Minute Cottages into our portfolio of websites so jumped at the opportunity to repeat the process with another website with a similar proposition to our existing core business.
"Late Lettings has a lot of great properties both in the UK and abroad, which we see as an obvious route of expansion for Snaptrip."
