Social media star vows never to return to Mykonos after being burgled
Models and social media stars Gigi and Bella Hadid cut short their holiday on the Greek island of Mykonos after they returned from a night out to find their apartment had been burgled.
The pair, who were in Mykonos for their older sister Alana’s birthday, were too shaken to finish the holiday and flew home on a private jet.
Posting on Instagram, Gigi told fans she ‘wouldn’t recommend’ the island.
She said: "Mykonos film in.
"PS(A). Don’t let insta fool u. Got robbed. Never going back lol. Wouldn’t recommend. Spend your money elsewhere."
Some followers criticised her for her comments. One accused her of slander, saying: "Go elsewhere, but don’t use your impact to deter others from going."
Another said: "Sorry you were robbed, but telling people to not go there because you got robbed is silly."
Despite Gigi saying she’d never return, big sister Alana posted it had been her ‘best birthday ever’ and describing the visit as a ‘crazy, amazing, magical, insane, unforgettable trip’.
