Sofitel lands at Heathrow and Gatwick
Accor’s premium brand Sofitel is to be represented with hotels at both Heathrow and Gatwick.
The French chain is to open a 600-room property at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 which is due to open in 2008.
Directly connected to the new terminal, the hotel will have accommodation at three levels and space for meetings involving up to 1,000 participants.
Meanwhile, the Le Meridien at Gatwick is to be rebranded as the Sofitel London Gatwick. The 500-room hotel will be given a facelift including a new library and cocktail bar.
Both Sofitels are to be operated in a franchise partnership with Arora International Hotels.
